Hello there! I'm Kate, and for the past decade, I've been learning the art of cookie decorating. I didn’t go to culinary school- I began my journey as a veterinary technician with a love for collecting hobbies. I transitioned from caring for animals to running a daycare and even dabbled in the world of network marketing, furniture refinishing and jewelry making. Throughout it all, my family remained my top priority.

The motivation for starting my cookie business was my children and a deep desire to be there for them while still contributing to our household income. When the pandemic hit and I closed my daycare, it afforded me the extra time to channel my energy into practicing my cookie craft. Amongst the challenges of remote schooling, I found immense joy in the smiles these hand-decorated, delicious treats brought to my customers' faces.

It became abundantly clear that my cookies weren't just sweet treats; they were tiny packages of light, joy, and human connection. Whether I'm providing fun ‘Paint Your Own’ activities for kids or creating custom treats for special celebrations, every order I create is infused with love, aimed at brightening your day just a bit more.

Over the past couple of years, my little hobby has blossomed into something much greater. In 2022, I took the leap and officially established "Posy Cottage Cookies" as my full-time gig. I'm thrilled to continue this journey and look forward to connecting with you. These days you can find me creating custom cooking orders and also sharing my passion by teaching public and private event cookie decorating classes!
